Father’s Day Quick Gift Guide

Only two days left until we honour all fathers out there and celebrate all that the relationships with our dads have given us! For those who are last-minute shoppers, here are some quick gift ideas that are either practical or entertaining and respect your wallet:

ipod-shuffle-4th-gen-2amg-800For dad – an iPod shuffle from Apple. This is a great pick because it is compact, clips on and can be used to pump up a great workout or act as a musical traveling companion. At $49, it is a great gadget at a great price and you can pre-load it up with your papa’s fave music to add a personal touch.

Danier Men's WalletFor grandpa – a leather wallet. This is a great pick because men’s wallets tend to wear down quickly, so you can replace your grandfather’s old wallet with something simple, stylish and has tons of pockets for his cards. I would say to hit up Danier Leather for this – great leather accessories at great prices, such as $35 for a nice wallet!

Indigo Chapters Gift Card

For the dad-to-be – a gift card from a book store. This is a great pick because when most men find out they are going to become a dad for the first time, they want as much information as possible. A gift card for books is a nice idea because it will help to educate the  future dad and they can pick out the books they like the best. Indigo/Chapters is a solid pick – tons of books to choose from.

Newsroom DVDFor the dad with a young baby – a DVD set of a great television show. This is a great pick because with those late night cries and feedings, the young dad may be up very late. As he rocks his baby back to sleep, he can pop in a DVD and watch an episode at a soft volume. Personally, I recommend the show The Newsroom – very topical, incorporates current events, great characters and witty.
